Sage’s advanced R8 Technology is the driver behind rod actions tuned for maximum on-water versatility, creating an intuitive connection between the angler and the angling at hand. POWER R8 rods translate those signature attributes into an ultra-fast action stick made for increased line speed capabilities and control, giving you an edge when matching rise cadences, executing drifts, and casting in gusty conditions.

Trimmed To Win

POWER R8’s Hot Rod Red colourway speaks to the ultra-fast action and high-performance qualities of the rod. Blanks are trimmed with sleek black-and-granite accents and a custom anodised reel seat with an indexed slide band for easy alignment and installation of the reel. Both 590-4 and 690-4 models feature extra-figured walnut wood inserts and a hook keeper above the cork. All other models are fitted with saltwater-ready anodised aluminium reel seats with built-in hook keepers and a new cork/EVA fighting butt shape for added comfort and control.
