RIO Elite Scandi OutBound Body Hover

The RIO Elite Integrated Scandi OutBound Body is a series of integrated Scandi style shooting head bodies, designed for the maximum in versatility with the ability to add balanced floating and sinking tips to. An angler equipped with a Scandi OutBound Body and a set of different density tips is covered for a wide variety of water heights, fishing conditions and seasons.

Being integrated, the shooting head seamlessly attaches to RIO’s acclaimed Elite Metered Shooting Line, a shooting line that changes colour every 10 feet to improve distance control and judgement, and maintain consistent casting performance across sessions - negating the frustration of loop-to-loop joins running through the rod rings, as with usual shooting head systems.

The Scandi head design is incredibly easy to cast and built to load a Spey rod quickly and efficiently, tapered to deliver tight loops that unroll effortlessly, and with a weight distribution that will turn over balanced tips and flies with exceptional ease.

Available in two densities, Floating and Hover, the Elite Integrated Scandi OutBound Body covers the needs of most salmon and sea trout anglers. The floating body excels in summer conditions and lower water, and provides perfect presentation of small to medium flies, while the hover body sinks very slowly and comes into its own on windy days, in cooler temperatures, and when fishing in higher or heavier flows.

The RIO Elite Integrated Scandi OutBound Body is an exceptionally versatile solution for anglers who need precise control over depth, swing, and presentation in two-handed setups. Designed as the complete delivery system for long, tapered sink tips, this body is the perfect engine to propel floating and sinking tips across to the far bank and offers the opportunity to present flies at a multitude of depths - all in a single line system.

The front loop of the Scandi OutBound Body has a colour coded sleeve that matches the sleeve colour on the back end of the correctly sized tapered tips, ensuring anglers have a very easy way to identify and balance their line system to perfection.

The perfect tips for the Elite Scandi OutBound Body are RIO’s new 12ft dual density and 18ft triple density MDC tips, as well as RIO’s Classic 10ft and 15ft single density tips. The body was meticulously designed to match the MDC tips, and adding the correctly sized tip to a body will ensure the smoothest possible turnover, the longest flight time, and efficient, effortless casting strokes.
